Questions Artists Ask
Your music deserves an experienced team you can rely on. Since 2012, MPT Agency has brought strategy, PR, creators, advertising and streaming expertise together around artists' goals. Here you'll find straight answers about who we are, how we work and how we keep you informed—with clear responsibilities, personal communication and transparent reporting.
Team, experience and trust
What makes MPT Agency stand out?
One coordinated team behind your music. MPT Agency brings strategy, music PR, creators, advertising, streaming and artist development together instead of treating each channel as a separate campaign. The work is built around your goals, with clear responsibilities and transparent reporting. Our experience, client relationships and published campaign examples give you concrete ways to assess our work—not just a headline claim.
How experienced is MPT Agency?
MPT Agency has operated since 2012, with more than 3,000 campaigns delivered across more than 40 markets. Our work spans independent artists, managers, labels and international projects. That experience informs how we plan releases, coordinate specialists and adapt to different audiences. We use relevant examples to explain our approach; past results are not a promise of the same outcome for every artist.
Who will work on my campaign?
You'll have an assigned account manager and the specialists needed for your agreed plan. Depending on the scope, that can include strategy, publicity, creator marketing, advertising, streaming, content and A&R or artist-development support. We identify responsibilities and communication channels before work begins, so you know who is accountable and who to contact.
How can I verify MPT's reputation?
Review our case studies, named client testimonials and coverage of MPT Agency and its founders in music, culture and business publications, including Billboard, Rolling Stone and Forbes. Ask us for examples relevant to your genre, stage and objective. You can assess the actual work, the context behind the results and the people responsible before deciding whether we're the right team for your music.
Fit and process
Who does MPT work with?
MPT works with independent artists, managers, labels, catalogs and brands. We review the music, goals, timing, assets and existing team to understand where we can contribute. You don't need to have every answer before contacting us; the initial review helps clarify the next step.
What happens after I apply?
An MPT strategist reviews your music, goals, audience, timing and available assets. We follow up with questions or invite you to a strategy call to discuss the project. If there's a fit, we prepare a written scope with clear responsibilities and next steps. Submitting a brief does not commit you to a campaign.
How quickly will MPT respond?
We aim to review new briefs and respond within one business day. Include your release date and tell us if the request is urgent, so we can assess the deadline. Once an engagement begins, your assigned account manager coordinates ongoing communication and weekly updates.
Can MPT start next week?
Contact us—we work well under pressure and may be able to step in when a release is close or another provider can't deliver. We review your music, assets, deadline and the work required, then tell you honestly what we can take on. Some radio, editorial, awards and seasonal windows cannot be compressed. We won't promise a timeline the team cannot responsibly execute.
Results and risk
Does MPT guarantee streams, playlists, press, radio, charts, or virality?
No. MPT guarantees the approved work and reporting in the written scope. Platforms, editors, journalists, programmers, creators, curators, voters, and audiences make independent decisions.
How does MPT avoid fake streaming?
MPT does not buy artificial streams or knowingly use bots, click farms, or deceptive traffic. Campaigns should use transparent advertising, approved platform tools, legitimate pitching, partner review, and source-level reporting.
How are results measured?
The scorecard is set before launch and may include audience quality, acquisition cost, saves, follows, subscribers, repeat engagement, watch behavior, media response, fan capture, territory signals, and commercial actions where trackable.
Can MPT use prior client results to predict mine?
Case studies provide context, not guarantees. Every case must show the starting point, timeframe, work performed, spend category, data source, and conditions that shaped the outcome.
PR and Spotify
Can MPT guarantee a publication or editorial playlist?
No. MPT can prepare, target, pitch, follow up, and report. Editors and outlets decide what they cover or playlist.
Is Spotify playlist pitching safe?
Risk is lower when the work uses legitimate platform tools, real audiences, transparent advertising, vetted independent relationships, and honest reporting. Any promise of guaranteed editorial placement or fixed streams should be treated skeptically.
How early should I pitch Spotify?
Spotify currently advises delivering and pitching eligible unreleased music at least seven days before release. MPT recommends more runway for a serious campaign.
FYC and holiday campaigns
Can MPT guarantee a GRAMMY® nomination or award?
No. MPT cannot promise votes, nominations, awards, voter access, or influence. The service is a rule-conscious visibility and campaign-coordination engagement.
Does MPT have a Recording Academy voter list?
MPT does not claim authorized access. Official guidance says the Recording Academy does not release member contact information and warns against vendors claiming accurate member lists.
When should a Christmas music campaign begin?
Planning should begin months before peak seasonal listening. Albums, radio, press, video, creator, and multi-market campaigns require more runway than a focused digital single campaign.
Can Christmas music be promoted every year?
Yes. Rights holders can preserve data, audiences, creative, press, and partnerships to improve each annual plan. Future performance remains unguaranteed.
Communication and transparency
Will I have a dedicated contact?
Yes. You'll have an assigned account manager who coordinates your campaign and keeps you informed. Before work starts, we identify the team responsibilities, communication channels, approval process and weekly update schedule. You should always know who to contact and what happens next.
How will I receive updates and campaign reports?
Through weekly updates, transparent campaign reports and your client login and portal. We explain completed work, current priorities, the available results and recommended next steps. Reports distinguish audience response from activity delivered, and your account manager can answer questions about the data and its sources.
Who owns the accounts and data?
Account ownership, access permissions, content licenses, data exports and handoff are defined in the written scope. Your portal and reports provide access to the campaign information available for your engagement. We explain any platform or third-party limitations rather than suggesting that every system offers the same data or access.
How does MPT keep a campaign reliable and accountable?
We agree on deliverables, responsibilities, deadlines and approvals before execution, then track the work through your account manager and reporting. If a dependency or campaign priority changes, we communicate it, explain the impact and agree on the next step. Changes to the scope or spending require your approval. Reliability means clear ownership and honest communication—not pretending every outcome is within an agency's control.
