Over the past few years, TikTok has emerged as a game-changing platform that has revolutionized the music industry’s marketing and promotion tactics. Thanks to its extensive user base and cutting-edge algorithm, the app has become a crucial tool for music artists and record labels to connect with audiences in ways that were previously unheard of. By leveraging the influence of content creators, encouraging user-generated content, and implementing innovative marketing methods, it has transformed the business landscape and paved the way for new opportunities for success.
TikTok’s Rise as a Promotional Powerhouse
TikTok’s influence extends beyond the realm of viral dance challenges and comedic skits. The short-form video service has become a driving force for music discovery and promotion, enabling songs to rise to the top of charts and streaming platforms, even if they have been outside the mainstream for decades. The app’s algorithmic recommendations and the ability to create viral trends have given artists a chance to connect with audiences on a global scale.
The Role of Influencers and User-Generated Content
One of TikTok’s key strengths lies in its ability to leverage influencers and user-generated content to propel songs into the spotlight. Marketers and record labels collaborate with influencers, who have amassed substantial followings on the platform, to promote songs and spark user-generated posts from their fans. These collaborations can be highly effective in generating buzz and increasing engagement around a particular track.
In addition, TikTok’s influence reaches beyond established influencers. The platform’s democratized nature allows for the emergence of “micro-influencers,” individuals with smaller but highly engaged followings. By casting a wider net and working with these micro-influencers, music marketers can tap into niche communities and drive interest in songs effectively.
TikTok’s Strategic Partnerships with Artists and Record Labels
TikTok has recognized its potential as a game-changer in the music industry and has forged strategic partnerships with artists and record labels accordingly. With the help of its global team, the platform collaborates with industry stakeholders, negotiates licensing agreements, and explores new ways to monetize cultural influence. By expanding its offerings to include artist services like talent identification and development, record production oversight, and live show strategy design, the company is positioning itself as a comprehensive solution for artists’ creative and promotional requirements.
Navigating the Tensions with Record Labels
While TikTok’s ambitions in the music industry present exciting opportunities, they also introduce challenges and potential tensions with record labels. As the platform expands into overlapping business lines traditionally occupied by record labels, concerns may arise about competition and the division of revenue streams. To maintain harmonious relationships, it must demonstrate to its partners how its music experiments can lead to mutually beneficial outcomes, emphasizing collaboration and shared success.
The Burden of TikTok on Artists: Navigating Expectations
For artists, the hyper-focus on TikTok can be both a blessing and a burden. While the platform offers unparalleled exposure and the possibility of chart-topping success, it also places additional demands on artists’ time and creativity. Many performers have expressed frustration at being expected to create content alongside their traditional roles as musicians. The pressure to balance social promotion, touring, writing, recording, and overall brand management can be overwhelming. Achieving success online requires artists to navigate a new landscape that merges artistry with content creation.
TikTok’s Influence on Music Consumption and Streaming
The impact of TikTok on music consumption and streaming cannot be overstated. A study conducted by the music-analytics company MRC Data revealed that 67% of the app’s users are more likely to seek out songs on music-streaming services after hearing them on the platform.

DIY PR Strategy: Why You Need To Include Influencer Marketing
By MusicPromoToday
In today’s digital age, traditional public relations tactics might not be enough to effectively reach and engage with your target audience. With the rise of social media and the increasing importance of personal connections, influencer marketing has become an essential component of any successful PR (public relations) strategy.
By partnering with influential individuals who have a significant following and an engaged audience, artists can effectively promote their brand and products to a highly targeted and receptive audience. In this article, we will explore the benefits of including influencer marketing in your PR efforts and how it can help you achieve your goals.
If you’re reading this and preparing to launch your own DIY PR campaign, influencer marketing must be a key component of it. With MPT Agency, we are witnessing its power of it tenfold—not just the capacity to reach new audiences or open up new revenue sources, but also the utter delight in the creative process itself. It’s an opportunity to grow your fan base while having a blast and meeting some amazing people. What exactly should be your strategy then?
Craft & Strategize Your PR Plan
The first step in any successful DIY PR campaign is to have a plan of action. It entails developing a plan that outlines your campaign’s objectives.
For instance,
Are you planning a tour in the next six months and using this to generate interest and cultivate a following there?
Or perhaps you’re getting ready to release a new album and want to make sure people hear the songs?
It’s crucial to be aware of all of this when you put together your media list and general press plan. It will help you decide which influencers to approach and what sort of content you want to create with them.
Set Objectives
An objective is just a measurable aim that allows you to monitor your progress. If not, all you’re doing is sort of haphazardly hoping for the best.
Many situations include:
Collaborate with an influencer in my brand’s industry.
Have five distinct reels or TikTok videos with a “new song.”
Make a collaborative reel with three other independent artists.
Commence With Those Vital Connections – Start Building Your Network!
Once you have a goal in mind, it is time to start working toward it. Establishing those connections is the first step. We advise spending some time getting to know the influencer if you have a lot of time before you’re seeking to collaborate with them.
If you don’t have that much time, you can start by following them and commenting on a few of their stories to get your name in their email before introducing yourself and your ideas. Just be honest after letting them know what you like about them and their message.
Give them at least two to three suggestions for how you two can collaborate. It might appear that you’re being considerate by letting them make the decision, but the fewer steps you take, the easier it will be for them to imagine what working together looks like and to say yes.
Stay Persistent, Follow Up, And Keep Pitching
Persistence is a key component of PR, and influencer marketing is no different. Sometimes, you’ll receive a prompt affirmation. Other times, you won’t hear anything at all. It’s alright. It’s also OK to follow up once to confirm that they received your communication. No matter what, don’t give up.
Influencer alliances are undoubtedly one of the easiest methods to increase your credibility and attract new fans, but they do require consistency and ingenuity. The work is very worthwhile!
Final Thoughts On DIY PR Strategy
In conclusion, incorporating influencer marketing into your PR strategy can be a powerful way to reach your target audience and achieve your objectives. By leveraging the power of social media and partnering with trusted influencers, artists can amplify their brand message and increase their reach in a highly cost-effective manner.
However, it’s important to approach influencer marketing with a well-planned strategy and a clear understanding of your goals and target audience. With the right approach, influencer marketing can be a highly effective tool for building brand awareness, increasing engagement, and driving conversions.
So, if you haven’t already, it’s time to consider including influencer marketing in your PR strategy and start reaping the benefits it can offer.

Five Proven Methods For Identifying The Right Manager
By Barbara Drews
Five Verified Techniques For Recognizing The Suitable Manager
Your manager is a member of your team. Your partner. Your companion. You two are both invested in the same outcome. The manager serves as the artist’s point of contact with the public. The recording session, the album release campaign, the tour schedule, booking, and performances—everything is under the manager’s watchful eye.
The manager is mostly in charge of your brand. The most effective managers operate the brand with artistic elegance. Managers need individuals with genuine creative ideas to handle the constantly changing musical world. A manager who is conducting business in the same manner they did last year is not someone you want in charge.
Being in the right position at the right moment and actually giving the impression that you don’t need a manager are key factors in finding one.
Everyone wants to board a fast train, but nobody wants to work with an artist that looks to be having trouble. That said, music has a magical quality. Managers concur with this. It’s the reason they went down such a precarious career path.
Regardless of what stage of your profession you are in, a manager can choose to hire you if they encounter hear something so exceptional that it affects them deeply and spiritually. Despite the fact that this is your first SoundCloud demo and your TikTok is still a work in progress. But this is rare.
Most managers want to be sure that if they choose to work with you, you would put out the effort necessary to sustain a career in contemporary music. Managers are aware that it goes beyond the music. They seek out artists that put in a lot of effort.
As a result, you should maintain industry standards on all of your social media platforms. You need footage of a good caliber. You require expert marketing graphics. You must do live shows that are superior to those of artists that can fill arenas. You should appear like an artist that is ready to conquer the globe.
Five Effective Strategies For Identifying The Ideal Manager
Find The Right Manager By Getting Included On Spotify Playlists
The new method of discovery for those working in the music business is Spotify. It was Hype Machine and blogs ten years ago. You can learn a variety of playlist insertion techniques to appear on user-generated playlists, and your distributor could be able to assist you in getting your music added to official editorial playlists.
Additionally, you should use the submission site in Spotify for Artists to send all of your fresh releases straight to the streaming service. The more playlists you are added to, the more likely it is that managers’ Discover Weekly, Radio, or other customized and algorithmic playlists will include your music.
Social Media Is Your Way To The Ideal Manager
Okay, so that you don’t come out as stalking or desperate, you have to be a little discreet about this. You can nonetheless follow the managers that you think would be a good fit for you on social media, and follow the artists they are interested in by liking their posts and following their stories. Perhaps work together with those artists or appear on their feeds—this manager follows them.
Tik To The Tok Your Way To Fame
Naturally, getting one of your songs to trend on TikTok will attract a lot of attention from the industry as well as contracts. Of course, it’s easier said than done. But frequently, songs and artists rise over the barrier for labels, putting you on managers’ radars without a doubt. Feasible managers will start to pay attention if you are active on TikTok and are beginning to grow a following there.
Shows And Performances
Numerous blogs, journals, public radio stations, and music conferences will host showcases at which they will ask managers to attend. However, you should take precautions since some dishonest promoters and “talent buyers” can try to charge you to perform at their “showcases,” which are really just normal club concerts where you must purchase advance tickets to resell to your friends and fans. Don’t fall into the trap.
Public Radios
Without a major radio promoter, it is very hard to get played on top 40 radio or other channel-owned stations. However, affiliate stations frequently play local, independent, and unsigned music. Start with the public radio stations that broadcast music in your town or the city that is nearest to where you reside. Undoubtedly, managers pay attention to finding new talent.

Big Takeaways Around TikTok And Music In 2023
By Shawn Spence
We’re chiming in with an article on the Tik and the Tok of today. Yes, TikTok was always in the news in the music industry in 2022, for better or worse. Swipe up, read, and enjoy as we examine the major talking topics here!
Prominent Artists Are Still Joining But Others Feel Pressured
Any platform that can get Beyoncé and Dolly Parton to sign up is obviously special, following a trend that has seen a number of well-known musicians join TikTok in an effort to capture its culture. Both of these acts and more recent, up-and-coming musicians who are already familiar with the site can succeed on TikTok.
Unfortunately for the app, it wasn’t actually THE story this year regarding musicians and TikTok. Stories of musicians feeling pressured by their labels to use TikTok and, to use a phrase, “make their music go viral” abounded in late April.
TikTok isn’t to blame per such; it’s just the popular platform right now. The primary issue is how the music biz responds to it; pressuring musicians to use it and make it popular is the wrong course of action.
Music Rightsholders Are Rumbling Over Royalties
2022 also came under some of its own criticism around music consumption, in particular, how it compensates record labels and publishers for the music played in its app. TikTok does have a number of license agreements, although they are often rather short-term and must be renewed every few years. This subsequent round of renewals is… challenging.
In November, news of the secret talks broke into the open, making it obvious that major labels wanted TikTok to get much higher royalties. Labels want a portion of TikTok’s advertising profits, not simply upfront flat-fee payments, according to a different reliable report.
Due to the importance of both TikTok and music, new agreements will be reached. It would be fascinating to watch how the specifics of its new accords are communicated to the larger industry and artists in light of the current discussions about the lack of transparency around such agreements.
TikTok Is In The Music Livestreaming Game
The ability to broadcast live content on TikTok is nothing new, but in 2022 it solidified its position as a venue for pre-recorded concerts and music live streams, frequently with a sprinkle of innovative technology.
A rising number of musicians are going live on TikTok in more casual ways between these staged events to promote albums and tours or to just respond to fan inquiries.
TikTok Could Power The Next Big Music-Streaming Service
Let’s get to the bottom of why TikTok is causing concern among reputable streaming providers, why its agreements with rightsholders are risky, and why there is a larger pattern to its expanding aspirations in the music industry. TikTok could be the foundation of the next major disruptive music streaming by this time next year.
It’s a well-kept secret. In the US, TikTok’s parent company ByteDance has applied for a trademark for “TikTok Music.” Two Wall Street Journal articles, published in October and December, made clear that the plans may involve a global expansion of ByteDance’s current Resso streaming service, but with a close integration with TikTok.
TikTok’s In-App Spending Is Bigger Than You Thought
The persistent work of app analytics has revealed the development of TikTok’s in-app spending, despite the misconception that the app is free and earns its money through advertising.
We’re referring to TikTok customers shelling out cash for the app’s digital “coins,” which they can then use to tip producers and ad videos. It’s crucial to realize that TikTok users do more than just view videos for free. Why? Because of the potential for some of the features to be used by artists in the future: from tips in live streams to subscriptions at the creator level.
TikTok Is Just Getting Started With Advertising
But let’s not forget about advertising, which is also expanding quickly for TikTok. These are only estimates, of course; no one predicted the Covid-19 pandemic, and we fear to imagine what other unknowns could surface between now and 2027.
But predictions can have a big impact. They have an influence on big labels’ demands during negotiations for a portion of these advertising earnings as part of new licensing agreements, for instance. Additionally, they impact the strategy of long-standing competitors that perceive a danger.
Coming next: AR, Shopping, Avatars, Games…
TikTok must continue to innovate if it is to maintain its position as a cultural icon for as long as feasible. There is a lot happening at the firm outside of the core music functions, and many of these additional technologies could be helpful to musicians as well.

Any independent musician using this as a promotional tool will increase their listenership and subscriber base.

What Are The Social Media Predictions For 2023?
By John Reynolds
Predicting what could happen next is challenging, but we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social media platforms. Without a doubt, TikTok and Meta both maintained their slow declines. On the other hand, Twitter is now going through a management change that can result in anything. So what can we anticipate for the social media predictions of 2023?
With everything going on, predicting what could happen next is challenging. But, we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social applications.
Although no one can predict the future with certainty, we are more tuned in than others to the most recent improvements. And while you will not find any brain-reading predictions of the far future in this article, you will find some realistic and likely prospective developments that might affect you over the course of the following year.
So let us get started!
Facebook
Big Blue, Zuckerberg’s first social app, was once everyone’s favorite social media platform. Facebook has had a difficult year. From losing popularity with young users to losing advertising revenue to Apple’s ATT upgrade. Not to mention going through an identity crisis in the wake of TikTok’s change.
Facebook has been the most affected platform as TikTok’s short-form, the algorithm-led approach has shifted consumer patterns across the board. Nonetheless, Zuck and Co. claim that they have a strategy to turn things around.
Social Media Predictions For Facebook
More Content Suggested By AI
TikTok is the source of the AI-governed pattern. In other words, it prioritizes giving you the greatest user-generated content.
Zuckerberg clarified this point in a recent interview with The Verge, stating:
“What’s basically going to happen is that, over the next year or two, we’ll start showing more recommended content in the Feed. And we’ll know that we’re doing a good job because the content, in the beginning, is going to displace some other content, and either displacing that content is going to lead to negative feedback from people, and lead to people connecting with each other less in all the metrics that we focus on, or it will actually lead to people connecting more and being more satisfied with the product.”
Avatar Integration
By incorporating its digital avatars into additional locations inside the app, Meta hopes to increase interest in the metaverse. This way, avatars will be crucial components of engagement.
Instagram
Instagram is anxious to stay ahead of TikTok and is mimicking it at every opportunity. This strategy appears to have been successful so far since the app announced that it has 2 billion monthly active users.
What is expected to happen next on Instagram is as follows…
Social Media Predictions For Instagram
Instagram serves as a vital link between the physical world and the metaverse. Hence, the company is eager to develop stronger systems for artists.
In light of this, anticipate the addition of the following content production methods on Instagram in 2023:
Augmented reality (AR) posts
3D content
NFT art
Interactive ads
Twitter
Twitter is the most difficult scenario to foresee since, under incoming Chief Elon Musk, who knows what will happen next? Nothing from Twitter’s past truly establishes any patterns, therefore anything is conceivable.
These predictions might thus be totally incorrect, but based on what Musk has so far demonstrated…
Social Media Predictions For Instagram
Musk has consistently stated that he wants to increase Twitter’s revenue through subscriptions while also adding a layer to get rid of bots. This, unfortunately, is a crucial component of his strategy.
Many businesses would probably pay for this service if Musk’s new team took tips from these tools.
The tools will be incorporated into an upgraded Twitter Analytics offering.
The tools will be offered as a service along with access to its current range of Professional Profile display settings.
LinkedIn
Throughout the year, LinkedIn continues to report “record levels” of interaction. Now, they appear to include an increasing number of non-professional postings and updates.
Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn
In any case, LinkedIn is eager to continue expanding, so in 2023 you can anticipate the site offering additional information to assist job seekers.
In 2023, expect LinkedIn to continue with additional guidelines on how to land your dream career and links to LinkedIn Learning where you may acquire the precise skills you need to increase your chances of landing listed opportunities.
TikTok
The most popular app right now is also, perhaps, the most controversial one. This is not so much because of the material it amplifies as it is because of its assumed or actual ties to the Chinese Government, which keeps the app under intense political inspection.
Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn
This might recur in 2023, forcing TikTok to more clearly isolate its data, which could result in a number of issues for the app. Could it really be prohibited in the United States and other countries? That continues to appear like a very likely scenario…
Last Words Of Advice From Your Friends At MusicPromoToday
There is a lot happening as usual, and the Elon Musk/Twitter situation really shakes things up and adds a new dimension of unpredictability to the area.
Although the metaverse and VR interfaces can represent the future, they are more likely to appear within the next year, with the most significant changes still brewing as technology develops.
Based on our study, the social media specialists at MPT Agency create a customized proposal that includes a social media page audit, a competitive analysis, and the scope of work. Elon Musk Delays Twitter Paid Verification
By Shawn Spence
Elon Musk’s intention to sell Twitter’s blue tick paid verification badges has been postponed. As a result, delaying the microblogging platform’s swift descent into hell slightly.
You guessed it right. Musk is also blocking unnamed parody accounts, though…
According to The New York Times, Twitter’s paid verification will now go live on Nov. 9, which is the day following the U.S. midterm elections. Prior to Nov. 7, when the update was supposed to go live. Nonetheless, Musk reportedly threatened to dismiss staff members who didn’t reach the deadline.
The decision to postpone the implementation of paid verification was made as a result of staff and user concerns. They were worried about the possible disastrous effects Musk’s plan will have on election integrity.
Anyone with the capacity to pay verification status would be able to get a blue tick and use it to pose as a well-known individual. Moreover, this will enable them to send tweets that seem to come from news organizations or politicians.
This also has the potential to destabilize the election and spread false information about the outcomes.
When Musk’s reforms actually go live, there’s a decent chance that Twitter will turn into a hazardous hub of misinformation.
Some verified Twitter users have criticized Musk’s verification modifications by exposing how the blue tick on Twitter will be misused and how simple it is to deceive people.
Artist Mark Brooks published tweets from users who thought he was the renowned actor after briefly changing his account name and profile photo to resemble Harrison Ford.
It’s far easier to con people than it is to convince those same people that they’ve been conned.
— The artist formally known as Harrison Ford (@MarkBrooksArt) November 4, 2022
Twitter has suspended verified accounts belonging to comedian Kathy Griffin, actor Rich Sommer, and former NFL player Chris Kluwe. Users have also been banned for changing their display names and profile pictures to correspond with those of Tesla’s real-life co-founder Elon Musk.
Musk stated in a tweet on Sunday that unless an account is blatantly labeled as a parody, Twitter will permanently suspend any accounts that mimic others. It’s not clear if a disclaimer on the account’s profile would do, or if this label must be in the account’s name.
Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended
Due to the possibility that true identity verification will no longer be required in order to receive one of Twitter’s blue ticks, it is also probable that Twitter will have difficulty telling the difference between a parody account and the real thing.
This is risky whether you have a large profile or not because anyone with $8 and a grudge will possibly destroy your entire existence.
Prior to Musk’s takeover, Twitter wasn’t always a haven of virtue. But the amount it has dropped in less than a week is astonishing.

YouTube Introduces Unique @handle Feature
By Yvonne Martin
The online video-sharing and SM platform launched the @handle feature to simplify people’s online interactions and help them connect with each other faster and easier. The new feature allows creators to promote their YouTube presence and drive traffic to their profiles.
YouTube explained in a statement:
“Handles are a new unique identifier (example @youtubecreators) & ALL YouTube channels will have one. Your unique @handle feature will help people find & interact with you & your YouTube channel. And because handles are unique (unlike channel names), it’s easy to confirm if you’re engaging with the right person or not.”
In the same way as its counterparts; Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, the @handle feature will directly link people to the content you post and offer better branding opportunities by running as a unique channel URL. Until recently, custom channel URLs have only been available to Youtubers with 100 subscriptions and above. With this new addition, the app will make it accessible to all users no matter the number of subscribers.
@handle feature is also created to reduce copycat channels and stop scammers from replicating popular ones. With each channel having its own personal @handle feature, swindlers will have a hard time copying existing accounts. On a more fun note, the new feature will permit users to mention channels in comments, community posts, and video descriptions, “For example, creators can be shouted out in a mention in comments or tagged in the title of a recent collab, helping them increase visibility and reach with new audiences.”
Channel owners must take into account that they have till November 14th to choose their own handle, otherwise, YouTube will assign them automatically, “Over the next few weeks, we’ll slowly open access for all YouTube channels to choose a unique @handle feature. TikTok Sets Off To Become Record Labels’ Biggest New Competitor
By John Reynolds
Record labels have taken a new form and it looks a lot like TikTok. The short-form video-sharing company has plans to increase its share in the marketplace by distributing music for independent emerging artists. Is TikTok The Biggest Competitor?
Music label companies and TikTok have had a pretty rough start and although they’re on good terms amid the multiple revenue-sharing deals, it seems the feud is set to rise again, as the platform wants to expand its dominance in the industry.
The giant labels are aware of TikTok’s power to create chart-topping hits and they wouldn’t miss an opportunity like that to invest their money, especially when they can give potential up-and-coming artists a chance to shine.
But with over one billion users and over 200 million downloads in the US alone, TikTok is slowly paving the way for its expansion, and with the launch of SoundOn, it’s only normal that the traditional record labels feel threatened.
It wasn’t long ago that ByteDance(TikTok’s parent company) started up the all-in-one platform for music creators and independent artists, where musicians can hold 100% ownership of their songs and receive 100% of the royalties. All these flexible contractual clauses have made it easier for them to promote their music and reach global audiences.
Now, it appears that ByteDance is also on the hunt for A&R scouts. Rising to the task of offering all the services of the traditional music business; finding, signing, and marketing artists, TikTok with the support of ByteDance has become a full-circle label company.
According to Murray Stassen (MBW), ByteDance is hiring new A&R managers in LA, NY, Miami, and Toronto. The job description requires candidates to “focus on the US music landscape, to sign and develop artists within the independent music community.”
ByteDance is targeting independent artists by marketing itself as the “#1 partner for artist development, promotion, and monetization.” In addition, TikTok has over 100 new music-related job openings in all parts of the world, including Europe (Germany, France, UK), South America (Brazil), South Africa, and Asia (India).
Major music and entertainment businesses like The Orchard (Sony Music Publishing subsidiary) will have no choice but to compete with TikTok’s parent company. The tension is already building up between TikTok and Sony Music, as the latter recently pulled its catalog from the music streaming platform Resso (Owned by ByteDance).
Further new restrictions are being set, as substantial businesses are now asking the fast-rising platform to change its licensing deals on a revenue-share basis. If this gets applied, music industry giants, along with the artists, will get paid every time their music is played in a monetized video on TikTok.

Twitter Space, The Ultimate How To By MPT Agency
By Barbara Drews
For web3 musicians and Space’s hosts, sharing your music on Twitter Space is perhaps the most basic experience of all. To put things in perspective imagine if all of your artistic prowess, sophisticated arrangements, and faultless mixing are relocated to a rural location in the 1950s at the quality of an FM radio, and people from all around the world tune in.
What Is Twitter Spaces?
Users of Twitter Spaces can host and join live audio sessions that are held within “Spaces” (aka audio chat rooms). An Audio only medium, Twitter Space creates an intimate moment between fans and host where unique content is shared LIVE, with no edits, no retakes, raw.
How do The Best Twitter Spaces work?
When someone you follow begins or talks in a Space on Twitter for iOS or Android, it will show up on your timeline as a purple bubble for as long as it is live. When you join Space as a listener, you may use emojis to express your opinions. You can also look at any Tweets that have been pinned in the room, read along with the captions, tweet or direct message the Space itself, and even ask to speak yourself.
How Can I Create A Twitter Space As A Host?
Luckily, Twitter made this part simple enough for everyone. Long-press the compose button on your Home timeline, then choose the icon with a cluster of dots to begin a Space. When you initially create your Space, your microphone will be off; when you’re ready to talk, press Start your Space.
The whole thing will be live, so unless you have been a live broadcaster for 20 years of your professional career, it’s best to have practiced a few times or at least to have some kind of point-form script so you stay on topic. Everyone likes a good rant, but your fans might have an issue with rambling.
How Can I Add A Co-Host On Twitter Spaces?
You can have up to ten speakers in your Space. As the host, you can choose up to two co-hosts to assist you to moderate the discussion. Any active participant or visitor to your space is welcome. To accomplish this, hit the manage speakers icon, choose invite co-hosts, and then look for and choose the accounts you want to share hosting duties with for your Space. Tap the send invitation button to let them know.
How Can I Schedule A Twitter Space?
You may advertise your planned chat for a longer period if you schedule a Space in advance. Long-press the write button on your Home timeline, then choose the Spaces symbol to plan a Space. Give your Space a name, choose three or more pertinent topics, and then hit the clock icon to choose a time and date for it.
How Can I Join The Best Twitter Spaces?
Public spaces can be joined in a variety of ways. A host or listener can post the public link for each Space in a Tweet or Direct Message. Live Spaces with a speaker or presenter you follow will also be marked in purple at the top of your timeline and in your timeline itself. On your phone, you may join by using the Spaces Tab.
How Does Using The Twitter Spaces Help Musicians?
Without a doubt, every brand may gain by interacting with their followers or potential followers on social media. These advantages are amplified when the engagement is sincere, ongoing, and beneficial. The ideal opportunity to introduce such a discussion to your fan audience is provided by Twitter Spaces!
Here are some ways you as an artist might benefit from using Twitter Spaces:
Make a regular industry area where you may post news and updates about the music biz and other topics of interest to your audience.
Share new music, merchandise, and services that will keep your audience informed about what they can stream or buy to support you as a musician.
For your fan base to feel more connected to you and comprehend your brand, arrange a live Q&A discussion where they can ask you anything about your music or yourself.
Discuss related issues that are important to you in more detail, adding to the discourse.
Utilize a Twitter space to continue a conversation that started during a podcast, live video broadcast, conference, or another event while providing additional context.
In Conclusion: Social Audio Is Here To Stay and it’s all about who has the best Twitter Spaces!
MPT Agency has a small kink for all things live and talkative. Our experts have been in neighboring spaces and participated as rogue consultants or boomer music buffs. We believe in this medium because it’s novel, fun, and raw. You the artist are put on the spot and fans get to see your gumption as well as your grit as you talk shop on whichever topic you have in mind and defend your opinion against an onslaught of tweets and random questions. Nothing like a live broadcast challenge to see what you are made of. If ever you have an idea and are looking to build, send us a message and we can always guide you down the path of production.
The future of social media is communication and genuine interaction. Thus, MPT Agency can guide you through keeping your brand up-to-date and relevant!
