Big Takeaways Around TikTok And Music In 2023

By Shawn Spence
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

We're chiming in with an article on the Tik and the Tok of today. Yes, TikTok was always in the news in the music industry in 2022, for better or worse. Swipe up, read, and enjoy as we examine the major talking topics here!

Prominent Artists Are Still Joining But Others Feel Pressured

Any platform that can get Beyoncé and Dolly Parton to sign up is obviously special, following a trend that has seen a number of well-known musicians join TikTok in an effort to capture its culture. Both of these acts and more recent, up-and-coming musicians who are already familiar with the site can succeed on TikTok.

Unfortunately for the app, it wasn't actually THE story this year regarding musicians and TikTok. Stories of musicians feeling pressured by their labels to use TikTok and, to use a phrase, "make their music go viral" abounded in late April.

TikTok isn't to blame per such; it's just the popular platform right now. The primary issue is how the music biz responds to it; pressuring musicians to use it and make it popular is the wrong course of action.

Music Rightsholders Are Rumbling Over Royalties

2022 also came under some of its own criticism around music consumption, in particular, how it compensates record labels and publishers for the music played in its app. TikTok does have a number of license agreements, although they are often rather short-term and must be renewed every few years. This subsequent round of renewals is... challenging.

In November, news of the secret talks broke into the open, making it obvious that major labels wanted TikTok to get much higher royalties. Labels want a portion of TikTok's advertising profits, not simply upfront flat-fee payments, according to a different reliable report.

Due to the importance of both TikTok and music, new agreements will be reached. It would be fascinating to watch how the specifics of its new accords are communicated to the larger industry and artists in light of the current discussions about the lack of transparency around such agreements.

TikTok Is In The Music Livestreaming Game

The ability to broadcast live content on TikTok is nothing new, but in 2022 it solidified its position as a venue for pre-recorded concerts and music live streams, frequently with a sprinkle of innovative technology.

A rising number of musicians are going live on TikTok in more casual ways between these staged events to promote albums and tours or to just respond to fan inquiries.

TikTok Could Power The Next Big Music-Streaming Service

Let's get to the bottom of why TikTok is causing concern among reputable streaming providers, why its agreements with rightsholders are risky, and why there is a larger pattern to its expanding aspirations in the music industry. TikTok could be the foundation of the next major disruptive music streaming by this time next year.

It's a well-kept secret. In the US, TikTok's parent company ByteDance has applied for a trademark for "TikTok Music." Two Wall Street Journal articles, published in October and December, made clear that the plans may involve a global expansion of ByteDance's current Resso streaming service, but with a close integration with TikTok.

TikTok’s In-App Spending Is Bigger Than You Thought

The persistent work of app analytics has revealed the development of TikTok's in-app spending, despite the misconception that the app is free and earns its money through advertising.

We're referring to TikTok customers shelling out cash for the app's digital "coins," which they can then use to tip producers and ad videos. It's crucial to realize that TikTok users do more than just view videos for free. Why? Because of the potential for some of the features to be used by artists in the future: from tips in live streams to subscriptions at the creator level.

TikTok Is Just Getting Started With Advertising

But let's not forget about advertising, which is also expanding quickly for TikTok. These are only estimates, of course; no one predicted the Covid-19 pandemic, and we fear to imagine what other unknowns could surface between now and 2027.

But predictions can have a big impact. They have an influence on big labels' demands during negotiations for a portion of these advertising earnings as part of new licensing agreements, for instance. Additionally, they impact the strategy of long-standing competitors that perceive a danger.

Coming next: AR, Shopping, Avatars, Games…

TikTok must continue to innovate if it is to maintain its position as a cultural icon for as long as feasible. There is a lot happening at the firm outside of the core music functions, and many of these additional technologies could be helpful to musicians as well.

Effective Tips To Make Your Music Known On Youtube

    By Shawn Spence
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

There are millions of videos on Youtube and more than two billion people globally. It's an extremely popular platform for promoting your music and for anything related to music marketing. Additionally, it's the best platform to share and advertise your music videos!

In this article, we will provide you with some tips on how to successfully advertise your music on Youtube.

    Let’s dive in!

Utilize Youtube Ads To Improve Your Presence

Since commercials are so common on YouTube, this is the most apparent approach to promoting music there.

    • YouTube ads are very customizable and can be displayed in a variety of locations.
    • Direct links to your YouTube channel from ads that show up on the YouTube home page.
    • Utilize a keyword tool to assist you since ads linked to particular keywords will show up when someone searches on YouTube.
    • Ads can be broadcasted before, during, and/or after a video.
    • Ads are only displayed on mobile devices.

Feel free to test out several YouTube ad styles and monitor their results to see which one is most effective for marketing your music. You should always target your YouTube ads. Utilizing the tools provided by Google to assist users to acquire adverts will allow you to simply tame this instrument.

    Get Your Youtube Channel Verified

Verification is a goal for several platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and/or Instagram, but Youtube is the one where it has the biggest influence.

Verifying your Youtube channel frequently increases visibility and offers you special advantages:

    • Enables you to get thorough statistics
    • Increase your channel's SEO
    • Enables you to immediately market your merch and tours below your YouTube videos.

You must have at least three YouTube videos under your belt before you can ask to get your channel verified. After that, you can submit your request to the YouTube support personnel.

Create Content That Illustrates Your Music

You can anticipate discovering videos that accompany an artist's songs on their Youtube account. These videos provide you the chance to visualize your world and demonstrate your commitment to your artistic endeavor.

You should upload at least one video to your channel because videos are supreme on YouTube. Particularly on YouTube, which continues to be a platform for music and entertainment, images and music are linked. Additionally, submitting a clip makes it the perfect video for Youtube Ads promotion.

    Offer A Variety Of Content

Although there are many other ways to market your music on Youtube, as an artist, your Youtube channel is primarily used to upload and promote your new songs and music videos. The success of vlogs on the platform reflects the fact that users like to learn more about the lives of producers and artists.

If you have the time and want, you may absolutely provide various video types on YouTube, such as vlogs, behind-the-scenes films, and videos about your musical influences. By doing so, you'll be able to create a true online community for your musical endeavor. All of the extra content you provide helps to convey the story, which is crucial for boosting the popularity of your music and retaining listeners.

You can also develop curated playlists that your followers can access. You can create a playlist with songs you like by yourself or other artists. This is an excellent approach for your fan base to learn more about you and enjoy your music. Any independent musician using this as a promotional tool will increase their listenership and subscriber base.

Create A Connection With Your Audience

Increase your YouTube subscriber count and promote your music online by listening to subscribers and developing relationships with them. To start a conversation, we suggest that you "like" or "comment" on particular posts.

You can simply manage your profile, create playlists, and respond to comments on the go with the Youtube Studio app!

What Are The Social Media Predictions For 2023?

      By John Reynolds
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Predicting what could happen next is challenging, but we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social media platforms. Without a doubt, TikTok and Meta both maintained their slow declines. On the other hand, Twitter is now going through a management change that can result in anything. So what can we anticipate for the social media predictions of 2023?

With everything going on, predicting what could happen next is challenging. But, we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social applications.

Although no one can predict the future with certainty, we are more tuned in than others to the most recent improvements. And while you will not find any brain-reading predictions of the far future in this article, you will find some realistic and likely prospective developments that might affect you over the course of the following year.

      So let us get started!

      Facebook

Big Blue, Zuckerberg's first social app, was once everyone's favorite social media platform. Facebook has had a difficult year. From losing popularity with young users to losing advertising revenue to Apple's ATT upgrade. Not to mention going through an identity crisis in the wake of TikTok's change.

Facebook has been the most affected platform as TikTok's short-form, the algorithm-led approach has shifted consumer patterns across the board. Nonetheless, Zuck and Co. claim that they have a strategy to turn things around.

      Social Media Predictions For Facebook

      More Content Suggested By AI

TikTok is the source of the AI-governed pattern. In other words, it prioritizes giving you the greatest user-generated content.

Zuckerberg clarified this point in a recent interview with The Verge, stating:

“What’s basically going to happen is that, over the next year or two, we’ll start showing more recommended content in the Feed. And we’ll know that we’re doing a good job because the content, in the beginning, is going to displace some other content, and either displacing that content is going to lead to negative feedback from people, and lead to people connecting with each other less in all the metrics that we focus on, or it will actually lead to people connecting more and being more satisfied with the product.”

      Avatar Integration

By incorporating its digital avatars into additional locations inside the app, Meta hopes to increase interest in the metaverse. This way, avatars will be crucial components of engagement.

      Instagram

Instagram is anxious to stay ahead of TikTok and is mimicking it at every opportunity. This strategy appears to have been successful so far since the app announced that it has 2 billion monthly active users.

What is expected to happen next on Instagram is as follows…

      Social Media Predictions For Instagram

Instagram serves as a vital link between the physical world and the metaverse. Hence, the company is eager to develop stronger systems for artists.

In light of this, anticipate the addition of the following content production methods on Instagram in 2023:

      • Augmented reality (AR) posts
      • 3D content
      • NFT art
      • Interactive ads

      Twitter

Twitter is the most difficult scenario to foresee since, under incoming Chief Elon Musk, who knows what will happen next? Nothing from Twitter's past truly establishes any patterns, therefore anything is conceivable.

These predictions might thus be totally incorrect, but based on what Musk has so far demonstrated…

      Social Media Predictions For Instagram

Musk has consistently stated that he wants to increase Twitter's revenue through subscriptions while also adding a layer to get rid of bots. This, unfortunately, is a crucial component of his strategy.

      • Many businesses would probably pay for this service if Musk's new team took tips from these tools.
      • The tools will be incorporated into an upgraded Twitter Analytics offering.
      • The tools will be offered as a service along with access to its current range of Professional Profile display settings.

      LinkedIn

Throughout the year, LinkedIn continues to report "record levels" of interaction. Now, they appear to include an increasing number of non-professional postings and updates.

      Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn

In any case, LinkedIn is eager to continue expanding, so in 2023 you can anticipate the site offering additional information to assist job seekers.

In 2023, expect LinkedIn to continue with additional guidelines on how to land your dream career and links to LinkedIn Learning where you may acquire the precise skills you need to increase your chances of landing listed opportunities.

      TikTok

The most popular app right now is also, perhaps, the most controversial one. This is not so much because of the material it amplifies as it is because of its assumed or actual ties to the Chinese Government, which keeps the app under intense political inspection.

      Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn

This might recur in 2023, forcing TikTok to more clearly isolate its data, which could result in a number of issues for the app. Could it really be prohibited in the United States and other countries? That continues to appear like a very likely scenario…

Last Words Of Advice From Your Friends At MusicPromoToday

There is a lot happening as usual, and the Elon Musk/Twitter situation really shakes things up and adds a new dimension of unpredictability to the area.

Although the metaverse and VR interfaces can represent the future, they are more likely to appear within the next year, with the most significant changes still brewing as technology develops.

Elon Musk Delays Twitter Paid Verification

        By Shawn Spence
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Elon Musk's intention to sell Twitter's blue tick paid verification badges has been postponed. As a result, delaying the microblogging platform's swift descent into hell slightly.

You guessed it right. Musk is also blocking unnamed parody accounts, though…

According to The New York Times, Twitter's paid verification will now go live on Nov. 9, which is the day following the U.S. midterm elections. Prior to Nov. 7, when the update was supposed to go live. Nonetheless, Musk reportedly threatened to dismiss staff members who didn't reach the deadline.

The decision to postpone the implementation of paid verification was made as a result of staff and user concerns. They were worried about the possible disastrous effects Musk's plan will have on election integrity.

Anyone with the capacity to pay verification status would be able to get a blue tick and use it to pose as a well-known individual. Moreover, this will enable them to send tweets that seem to come from news organizations or politicians.

This also has the potential to destabilize the election and spread false information about the outcomes.

When Musk's reforms actually go live, there's a decent chance that Twitter will turn into a hazardous hub of misinformation.

Some verified Twitter users have criticized Musk's verification modifications by exposing how the blue tick on Twitter will be misused and how simple it is to deceive people.

Artist Mark Brooks published tweets from users who thought he was the renowned actor after briefly changing his account name and profile photo to resemble Harrison Ford.

Twitter has suspended verified accounts belonging to comedian Kathy Griffin, actor Rich Sommer, and former NFL player Chris Kluwe. Users have also been banned for changing their display names and profile pictures to correspond with those of Tesla's real-life co-founder Elon Musk.

Musk stated in a tweet on Sunday that unless an account is blatantly labeled as a parody, Twitter will permanently suspend any accounts that mimic others. It's not clear if a disclaimer on the account's profile would do, or if this label must be in the account's name.

Due to the possibility that true identity verification will no longer be required in order to receive one of Twitter's blue ticks, it is also probable that Twitter will have difficulty telling the difference between a parody account and the real thing.

This is risky whether you have a large profile or not because anyone with $8 and a grudge will possibly destroy your entire existence.

Prior to Musk's takeover, Twitter wasn't always a haven of virtue. But the amount it has dropped in less than a week is astonishing.

          YouTube Introduces Unique @handle Feature

          By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

The online video-sharing and SM platform launched the @handle feature to simplify people’s online interactions and help them connect with each other faster and easier. The new feature allows creators to promote their YouTube presence and drive traffic to their profiles.

          YouTube explained in a statement:

“Handles are a new unique identifier (example @youtubecreators) & ALL YouTube channels will have one. Your unique @handle feature will help people find & interact with you & your YouTube channel. And because handles are unique (unlike channel names), it’s easy to confirm if you’re engaging with the right person or not.”

In the same way as its counterparts; Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, the @handle feature will directly link people to the content you post and offer better branding opportunities by running as a unique channel URL. Until recently, custom channel URLs have only been available to Youtubers with 100 subscriptions and above. With this new addition, the app will make it accessible to all users no matter the number of subscribers.

@handle feature is also created to reduce copycat channels and stop scammers from replicating popular ones. With each channel having its own personal @handle feature, swindlers will have a hard time copying existing accounts. On a more fun note, the new feature will permit users to mention channels in comments, community posts, and video descriptions, “For example, creators can be shouted out in a mention in comments or tagged in the title of a recent collab, helping them increase visibility and reach with new audiences.”

Channel owners must take into account that they have till November 14th to choose their own handle, otherwise, YouTube will assign them automatically, “Over the next few weeks, we’ll slowly open access for all YouTube channels to choose a unique @handle feature. If you don’t choose one by November 14th, we will begin assigning handles automatically based on your channel name (which you can change!).”

Just as YouTube wants to ensure the best service for its creators, MusicPromoToday also focuses on delivering all-around assistance to its clients. Providing aspiring and established artists with everything they need to further enhance their careers, MPT offers a wide range of services that help promote any musician’s online presence and digital footprint.

TikTok Sets Off To Become Record Labels’ Biggest New Competitor

              By John Reynolds
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Record labels have taken a new form and it looks a lot like TikTok. The short-form video-sharing company has plans to increase its share in the marketplace by distributing music for independent emerging artists. Is TikTok The Biggest Competitor?

Music label companies and TikTok have had a pretty rough start and although they’re on good terms amid the multiple revenue-sharing deals, it seems the feud is set to rise again, as the platform wants to expand its dominance in the industry.

The giant labels are aware of TikTok’s power to create chart-topping hits and they wouldn’t miss an opportunity like that to invest their money, especially when they can give potential up-and-coming artists a chance to shine.

But with over one billion users and over 200 million downloads in the US alone, TikTok is slowly paving the way for its expansion, and with the launch of SoundOn, it’s only normal that the traditional record labels feel threatened.

It wasn’t long ago that ByteDance (TikTok's parent company) started up the all-in-one platform for music creators and independent artists, where musicians can hold 100% ownership of their songs and receive 100% of the royalties. All these flexible contractual clauses have made it easier for them to promote their music and reach global audiences.

Now, it appears that ByteDance is also on the hunt for A&R scouts. Rising to the task of offering all the services of the traditional music business; finding, signing, and marketing artists, TikTok with the support of ByteDance has become a full-circle label company.

According to Murray Stassen (MBW), ByteDance is hiring new A&R managers in LA, NY, Miami, and Toronto. The job description requires candidates to “focus on the US music landscape, to sign and develop artists within the independent music community.”

ByteDance is targeting independent artists by marketing itself as the “#1 partner for artist development, promotion, and monetization.” In addition, TikTok has over 100 new music-related job openings in all parts of the world, including Europe (Germany, France, UK), South America (Brazil), South Africa, and Asia (India).

Major music and entertainment businesses like The Orchard (Sony Music Publishing subsidiary) will have no choice but to compete with TikTok’s parent company. The tension is already building up between TikTok and Sony Music, as the latter recently pulled its catalog from the music streaming platform Resso (Owned by ByteDance).

Further new restrictions are being set, as substantial businesses are now asking the fast-rising platform to change its licensing deals on a revenue-share basis. If this gets applied, music industry giants, along with the artists, will get paid every time their music is played in a monetized video on TikTok.

Twitter Space, The Ultimate How To By MPT Agency

                By Barbara Drews
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

For web3 musicians and Space's hosts, sharing your music on Twitter Space is perhaps the most basic experience of all. To put things in perspective imagine if all of your artistic prowess, sophisticated arrangements, and faultless mixing are relocated to a rural location in the 1950s at the quality of an FM radio, and people from all around the world tune in.

                What Is Twitter Spaces?

Users of Twitter Spaces can host and join live audio sessions that are held within "Spaces" (aka audio chat rooms). An Audio only medium, Twitter Space creates an intimate moment between fans and host where unique content is shared LIVE, with no edits, no retakes, raw.

How do The Best Twitter Spaces work?

When someone you follow begins or talks in a Space on Twitter for iOS or Android, it will show up on your timeline as a purple bubble for as long as it is live. When you join Space as a listener, you may use emojis to express your opinions. You can also look at any Tweets that have been pinned in the room, read along with the captions, tweet or direct message the Space itself, and even ask to speak yourself.

How Can I Create A Twitter Space As A Host?

Luckily, Twitter made this part simple enough for everyone. Long-press the compose button on your Home timeline, then choose the icon with a cluster of dots to begin a Space. When you initially create your Space, your microphone will be off; when you're ready to talk, press Start your Space.

The whole thing will be live, so unless you have been a live broadcaster for 20 years of your professional career, it's best to have practiced a few times or at least to have some kind of point-form script so you stay on topic. Everyone likes a good rant, but your fans might have an issue with rambling.

How Can I Add A Co-Host On Twitter Spaces?

You can have up to ten speakers in your Space. As the host, you can choose up to two co-hosts to assist you to moderate the discussion. Any active participant or visitor to your space is welcome. To accomplish this, hit the manage speakers icon, choose invite co-hosts, and then look for and choose the accounts you want to share hosting duties with for your Space. Tap the send invitation button to let them know.

How Can I Schedule A Twitter Space?

You may advertise your planned chat for a longer period if you schedule a Space in advance. Long-press the write button on your Home timeline, then choose the Spaces symbol to plan a Space. Give your Space a name, choose three or more pertinent topics, and then hit the clock icon to choose a time and date for it.

How Can I Join The Best Twitter Spaces?

Public spaces can be joined in a variety of ways. A host or listener can post the public link for each Space in a Tweet or Direct Message. Live Spaces with a speaker or presenter you follow will also be marked in purple at the top of your timeline and in your timeline itself. On your phone, you may join by using the Spaces Tab.

How Does Using The Twitter Spaces Help Musicians?

Without a doubt, every brand may gain by interacting with their followers or potential followers on social media. These advantages are amplified when the engagement is sincere, ongoing, and beneficial. The ideal opportunity to introduce such a discussion to your fan audience is provided by Twitter Spaces!

Here are some ways you as an artist might benefit from using Twitter Spaces:

                1. Make a regular industry area where you may post news and updates about the music biz and other topics of interest to your audience.
                2. Share new music, merchandise, and services that will keep your audience informed about what they can stream or buy to support you as a musician.
                3. For your fan base to feel more connected to you and comprehend your brand, arrange a live Q&A discussion where they can ask you anything about your music or yourself.
                4. Discuss related issues that are important to you in more detail, adding to the discourse.
                5. Utilize a Twitter space to continue a conversation that started during a podcast, live video broadcast, conference, or another event while providing additional context.

Instagram Live, The Best Ally For The Music Industry Professional

                  By Shawn Spence
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Do you remember the “quarantine concerts”? Great! In this article, we will discuss them; well in a more professional way that takes into account their digital counterbalance, Instagram Live, — Instagram Lives.

                  What Is Instagram Live?

The social media juggernaut cornered the live-streaming market with Instagram Live. Instagram Live lets you produce live broadcasts, just like live videos on Periscope, Facebook, and Youtube. You can use Instagram Live to connect with audiences in a variety of ways and get new followers in addition to using it to create broadcasts.

Why Should Instagram Live Be Part of Your Strategy?

One of the finest ways to interact with your fans in a direct, open, and genuine way on Instagram is to go live.

Instagram Live is an entirely unedited broadcast that your followers may watch and interact with, in contrast to pre-recorded Instagram Stories. This can be a terrific method to show your audience the more approachable side of your brand.

That's not all, either. One of Instagram's most participatory video platforms, Instagram Live enables viewers to post comments and inquiries in real-time. This may be a very useful tool for strengthening the bond between your brand and potential followers, enabling you to get insightful feedback directly from the people who matter the most!

Hosting an Instagram Live can also increase your chance to get recognized on the platform. For instance, your followers will receive an in-app notice each time you go live on Instagram, and your Live will be promoted to the top of their feed on Instagram Stories.

With all of this in mind, Instagram Live is a fantastic tool for growing your audience, promoting your brand, and engaging with potential followers.

How to Host a Great Instagram Live

It's simple to blindly push "live" on Instagram and perform a few tracks from your bedroom while wearing your jammies; nevertheless, you might not receive the desired results from that.

                  Promote Your Instagram Live, Beforehand

To ensure those crucial views, regularly and effectively advertising a forthcoming Instagram Live may make all the difference.  Reminders and countdowns may indeed be shared on Instagram Stories and feed by scheduling a Live.

Inform your audience of what to anticipate during the live broadcast and ask them to post any questions they may have in the comments. Your followers may feel more invested as a result, which will increase their likelihood of tuning in.

                  Reward Viewers

How can you get your fans to watch every Livestream? Reward them! Give them early notice of a promo code or let them know when a new product will be released. They can get helpful advice from you that they would normally have to pay for if you provide a service or online course.

Livestream When Your Audience Is Most Engaged

One of the simplest strategies to improve your Instagram Lives is to go live during a time when your followers are most engaged.  However, how can you foresee when your audience will be online? Check your Instagram Insights. You can get a breakdown of your followers' online activity by day of the week and time of day under the Audience tab.

Look Into Your Location And Lighting

The location and lighting you choose for your Instagram Live may significantly affect how polished your broadcast seems. Think about how your Instagram Live's backdrop may help promote your brand's message.

Pro tip: Natural light is always the least expensive (and frequently the best) choice when it comes to lighting.

Instagram Live, The Best Ally For The Music Industry Professional

                  Plan Your Content Ahead

It's necessary to plan out your Instagram Live broadcast in detail, just like you would with any other video material. A comprehensive strategy will ensure that there are no awkward pauses and that you cover all the essential topics for your agenda.

Considering your live stream as having a beginning, middle, and end is one of the best ways to plan it. It's a good idea to think about the "worst-case scenario" outcomes as well.

                  Record A Test Video

It's a wonderful idea to test your video and audio if this is your first time hosting a live video session. Look for a basic background with pretty looks that won't detract viewers from your message. Find a place that is quiet to improve the sound quality and reduce the outside noise.

Make a test video once you've identified a great location. Verify the video's sound and lighting conditions. You should practice beforehand to avoid embarrassing yourself during the session. Lastly, don't forget to charge your phone!

                  Interact With Your Viewers

If you requested questions via a direct message from viewers, be sure to respond to these inquiries! Even though it's a small gesture, it means a lot to your supporters. It's the least you can do considering how they help and promote you.

Summarize Your Session Through A Post

Not all of your devoted fans can access your Instagram Live. Perhaps they reside in a different time zone. Or perhaps they are just overloaded with work or school. So, let them know via a post or Instagram story if you've revealed significant developments during the live session, like a new single or concert. In this manner, people may stay in touch and follow your progress.

Inform them to enable push notifications in the caption so they don't miss the upcoming Instagram Live.

                  Final Thoughts on Instagram Live

No matter how much you plan, live conversations cannot be predicted. To display your true self to the audience is the goal. So, unwind and be who you are.

You don't always need to say anything motivational or great. Simply speak as though you are conversing with your friends. Keep in mind that how you engage with your audience will affect how your brand expands.
Prominent artists from all over the world benefit from MPT Agency's Instagram promotion since it enables them to concentrate on their content each day while we generate traffic to their accounts. The Best Tricks For A Musician’s Powerful TikTok Campaign

                    By Barbara Drews
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

How to make a powerful TikTok campaign? TikTok has had a remarkable growth spurt; last year, it attracted its 1 billionth user, considerably earlier than either Facebook or Instagram had. Whatever way you look at it, TikTok is here to stay, and artists would be wise to make TikTok a key component of their marketing and social media plan for 2022.

                    powerful TikTok Campaign

                    What Is TikTok?

For those who are unfamiliar, TikTok marketing campaign is a social networking site that allows users to publish videos. The Chinese-owned platform, in contrast to YouTube, is designed for short-form videos that are between 15 and 3 minutes long.

In its early years, TikTok was well-known for videos of challenges and lip-syncing. In their most innocent and pleasant forms, they were usually content pieces about learning certain dance routines to songs, but they were also hugely controversial.

                    The Importance Of TikTok Campaigns

TikTok videos have millions of views, and the attention they receive from all of those viewers who are interested may lead to some fairly sizable transactions.

Since so many users may record themselves dancing to your song on the site, TikTok's fondness for dance-based challenges makes it especially alluring to musicians for the royalties alone.

How To Nail Your TikTok Music Campaign

We like to approach TikTok music campaigns in the following ways:

                    Follow Other Musicians

You may signal to the TikTok algorithm that you're interested in finding ways to market your music by following artists in your niche. Your choices are taken into account when the For You page (fyp) algorithm changes. It will start displaying videos for your convenience.

Decide Your TikTok Personality to build a powerful TikTok Campaign

Consider the sort of appearance you want to project since you want to be easily recognizable. This is something you'd contemplate when performing, so it only makes sense to do the same for your TikTok audience.

                    Settle On A Hook

Consider which section of your music would be a fitting cue for a video. It might be that the beat is ideal for a dance routine or that the words are relevant. It may loop nicely. Clue: it’s not always the chorus.

                    Make A Discovery Plan

To ensure you're directing TikTok traffic as efficiently as possible, optimize your profile and include any pertinent links to your bio.

Pay Creators to have a powerful TikTok Campaign

Deals for song promotions between influencers and music marketers have grown to be a significant source of money for TikTok producers. When promoting a song by an artist, some people may make hundreds or even thousands of dollars from a single video.

                    Micro-Influencers

Marketers are increasingly using micro-influencers rather than big-name celebrities for song promotions as TikTok's user base has increased and the content industry has gotten more crowded.

                    TikTok Music Challenges

There’s always a new challenge coming through the For You Page. Use it for your benefit. Join the challenge. Or simply, make your challenge. A short dance on your song!

                    Exclusive Events With TikTok Creators

To promote a song before it is released, some artists and labels collaborate with TikTok's staff to conduct secret listening sessions with creators. When Miley Cyrus was getting ready to release her single "Midnight Sky" in the summer of 2020, her team worked with TikTok to arrange two secret Zoom conversations with about 15 creators so they could hear the song in advance.

Last Words Of Advice for creating a powerful TikTok Campaign

Undoubtedly, TikTok is the inspiration for several viral successes, so if you're trying to promote your music online, you can't afford to ignore the platform's popularity. MPT Agency specializes in using TikTok to promote and distribute new music to the right audience. Meta Expands Instagram and Facebook Reel Creation Options

                      By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

As it continues to embrace the short-form video trend, Meta is introducing new options for users to remix material into Instagram Reels, as well as the ability to build Reels from existing films within Creator Studio.

To begin, some Instagram users are now being advised about a new 'Remix for photographs' option when publishing static images in the app, as illustrated in this example uploaded by Lindsey Gamble.

According to Instagram, Remix for Photos allows users to build Reels based on your feed post material, which they can then download and use in their own clips. That means others can re-use your work as they like – but you can disable the option in your settings if you don't want that to happen.

In practice, it looks like this:

It's another method to respond to material in the app, which has been a popular TikTok use case, with the platform's participatory nature effectively expanding on meme trends by allowing users to contribute their own interpretations, rather than merely consuming the latest content.

Instagram now allows users to remix any video they encounter in the app, offering additional inspiration for Reels material — and with Reels now accounting for 20% of all time spent in the app, it makes sense for Instagram to capitalize on the trend by expanding Reels interaction possibilities.

In terms of brand utilization, this may be especially useful for seeking opinions on new products or brand announcements, with customers able to respond quickly via Reels clips. This might lead to some brand announcements being blasted in the same way, but engaging your audience to connect with your postings could be a fantastic approach to increase reach and engagement.

Meta has also included the ability to build Reels in Creator Studio by remixing existing videos into shorter pieces.

As seen in this example, provided by Facebook marketing specialist Mari Smith (and reposted by Matt Navarra), Meta is informing Creator Studio users about a new technique for trimming old videos into Reels clips.

The technique walks you through the editing process to generate Reels and Stories segments from your existing video uploads.

It's another method for Meta to assist businesses and artists blend into Reels content – which corresponds with larger consumption patterns – while also providing Meta with even more Reels content to offer people as it seeks new ways to double down on the short-form video trend.

Considering short-form video has become such a transformative trend in the social media landscape, Meta has released a new strategic overview outlining how it aims to make Reels even more of a focus on Facebook.

As per Facebook app chief Tom Alison:

“Today’s genre of public short-form video opens up new ways for people to create and discover content. While Facebook’s discovery engine is designed to support many different formats (text, photos, video, and eventually Metaverse experiences), our biggest gap today is around short-form video, and we’re focused on integrating Reels in Home, Watch, In-Feed Recommendations, and Groups.”

So more Reels, in more places - because Facebook, fundamentally, is afraid that if it does not adapt to changing consumer habits, it will fast lose relevance and user engagement.

                      Which is already taking place…

According to several estimates, individuals are now spending more time on TikTok than on the Facebook app, while the short-form, quick scroll clips on TikTok are really modifying user attention spans and changing how people consume material.

In this regard, Facebook already feels pretty outdated, which is why it is now striving to catch up to TikTok by presenting more Reels, more frequently, and in more locations inside the app.

These new improvements are consistent with the wider trend and will assist users in following suit.

Of course, Meta may reverse its mind at some point and cease emphasizing Reels, as it has in the past with other video material. However, the regular nature of short-form videos feels more lasting in influencing how people engage.

It's obviously worth more brands experimenting with Reels, and these enhancements give greater capability on that front.

Best Posting Times On Social Media in 2022

                        By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

The optimum time to post to reach your target audience is determined by your specific audience's activity inside each app. Some of this information may be found in the analytics tools of the various social applications, but you must also experiment and test to determine when your postings create the best reaction.

Several factors can play a role in this, including when your users are most active, when they are most responsive to your messaging, what other information is being uploaded at any one moment, the precise content that you're providing, algorithm sorting, and so on.

There is no one perfect time for all businesses to post to any social app – but if you're organizing your strategy and wondering when you should be scheduling, this annual report from the team at Sprout Social can provide assistance for your planning and trials, to help you find the right times and cadences for your strategy.

The Sprout Social team has established the periods when users are most engaged and active inside each of the main applications based on usage information gained from Sprout's 30,000+ clients.

Based on this, posting around these times might help you reach a larger audience – but, as always, trial and testing are required; this isn't a definitive recommendation for when your business will experience the greatest results.

With that in mind, here are the most recent findings from Sprout's Best Times to Post study.

(Also, keep in mind that all times are in CST, but the relative insights, based on frequent usage, will most likely apply to your local time zone as well.)

                        Facebook

The best times to post on Facebook, according to Sprout, are Mondays through Fridays at 3 a.m., and Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and noon. Why at 3 a.m.? Well, there's probably a lot less competition at that time, and posting during these downtimes might be the first engagement spark you need to reach more people throughout the day.

Facebook is also utilized by individuals all around the world in various time zones, so there may be more engagement from other places, which might assist to jumpstart your post activity. Early mornings and between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on weekdays appear to be the busiest times on Facebook, so this might also be a good time to try as well.

According to the Sprout team, the optimum days to publish are Tuesdays through Fridays, with Saturdays being avoided entirely. Maybe fewer people check in on weekends, or maybe Facebook emphasizes material from friends and family more on weekends, but engagement rates on Saturday and Sunday are low overall.

                        Instagram

According to Sprout, the best times to post on Instagram are Mondays at 11 a.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. So, it appears that mid-morning is the Instagram sweet spot, which might be useful information for your planning and increasing your Instagram interaction.

The study does not indicate whether this applies to Stories or ordinary feed posts, although it seems probable that this applies to feed postings in particular. However, it may be worthwhile to try Stories along similar lines to see what kind of results you get.

Sprout claims that the greatest days for IG activity are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Sundays being the worst.

                        Twitter

According to Sprout's data, the greatest times to tweet are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9 a.m. Perhaps this is related to how people use Twitter to stay up to date on the latest news. If the majority of Sprout's subscribers use social media for business, it stands to reason that the majority of them are on Twitter around 9 a.m. every day.

In any case, Sprout's findings show that between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., individuals are more actively digesting tweets, which might help drive their thoughts.

Tuesday and Wednesday are the ideal days to tweet, whereas Sunday should be avoided.

                        LinkedIn

Finally, according to Sprout's research, the optimum time to publish on LinkedIn is Tuesday between 10 a.m. and noon. Weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. appear to have rather high LinkedIn activity generally, so there may be a few possibilities there, and it may be worth experimenting with different posting patterns to see what works and what doesn't.

The greatest days to publish to LinkedIn are Wednesday and Thursday, while the weekends, predictably, see significantly less LinkedIn activity.

                        Final Thoughts

Again, these observations are not intended to be prescriptive; they do not state that "you must publish at these times to see the highest engagement in each app." This is based on a sample pool of tens of thousands of people, and posting during certain time periods may help you see increased interaction and response to your posts.

However, it is unique to each company and audience, and you will need to test and experiment to figure out what works best.

Nevertheless, they may be a decent reference, and it may be worth adjusting your posting method in accordance with this data to see if your numbers improve.
