The 10 Ultimate Music Marketing Commandments For 2023

By Barbara Drews
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Every day, the music industry changes. Even if we might have predicted what unfolded, several areas of the music industry surprised us. In this blog, we will discuss the best music marketing techniques to apply in 2023! If you want to increase your chances of success as a future superstar, abide by the below rules to market your music in 2023.

The year 2022 was incredible for the music biz since many new singers made their debut and many top bands and singers released albums. However, 2023 represents a new beginning for the industry with specific challenges in spotting certain major breakthroughs. How an audience reacts to new music might vary depending on the industry.

Let's bounce right into it!

The 10 Ultimate Music Marketing Commandments For 2023

  1. Raw Talent

With the introduction of digital production, the lines between artists have blurred since the majority of auto-tuned tracks sound the same. Although many musicians utilize techniques like auto-tuning to improve their music, your natural abilities will make you stand out more than an overly-reverbed chorus or a slowed-down cover song given how many new songs are added to Spotify each month.

Be unique. Be bold. Nowadays, originality is in.

If you do some research on proximity marketing and are able to interpret your performance statistics, you can become the next big thing!

  1. Online Events

The year 2023 will be ignited by digital events and virtual listening parties. There is no denying that we are moving closer to a virtual world. People adore visiting them.  Online events offer a simpler method to sell more material and meet audience requirements, however, they will never replace live performances as key moments.

  1. Concept Albums

The unnamed albums have evaporated. The ideas need to be developed with a fresh perspective. It will be a wonderful idea to create a concept and mark it as a specialty for the audience. The music industry will witness more innovative concepts and innovations in the coming years since musicians have been exploring various emotions, which are reflected in their work.

  1. Physical Hard-Cover Albums

The availability of several digital listening platforms for music enthusiasts in recent years has diminished the necessity or desire for physical hard-cover albums. Many performers released their digital albums in 2022, but no physical copies were made. It is a result of how buyers approach product consumption.

But 2023 could be the year when luxury comes back. It is conceivable to bring back the shelf-based LPs with limited edition album copies. For those who collect albums and have high standards for music, it will be spectacular.

  1. Sync Deals & Publishing

Social media usage is increasing. Going into 2023, if there is one thing we can be certain of about the music industry, it is that music needs to be connected to something in order to be successful and popular.

Among the finest platforms include television, Netflix, video games, ads, and many more. Creating music that is licensable is the greatest method to link your music to these channels, nevertheless.

  1. Be Social On Social Media

Having several accounts is time-consuming if you don't interact with your followers. Social media was created with the express purpose of engaging users.

It's crucial to be social; the rules haven't changed.

Focus on beginning conversations on social media platforms, leaving comments, liking, and reposting content. But, keep in mind that being impolite is bad for public relations, but asking the proper questions always gets you excellent press.

  1. Relatable Music

Maintaining the music's relatability is one of the industry developments that the music industry should follow in 2023. Giving the audience what they want to hear boosts the likelihood of success and public acclaim. Considering that digital media outlets constantly yell about it, understanding audience preferences is not difficult.

All that the music industry needs to do is concentrate on turning these desires into records and delivering them to audiences in quality.

  1. Multilingual Music

For many years now, in order to reach the top of the worldwide charts, many international musicians had to release music in English. But those times have passed and it no longer matters what language the musicians sing in.

Success in music can be achieved without singing in English, particularly in this day when streaming services have dominated the music industry. Songs in Spanish, Korean, bilingual, and other languages will gain popularity and bring record labels their highest sales figures!

  1. Genre Blending

Does genre actually matter? Genre influences on artists regularly transcend. It enables musicians and producers to create music without being limited by a certain genre. To gain high numbers of streams, it is preferable to develop music that may be included in a variety of genres.

  1. TikTok

The platform had a startling 1 billion active users in September 2021, and it is still expanding. TikTok provides musicians with a significant opportunity for social media explosion and virality. As a consequence, it was one of the most effective digital music advertising platforms in 2022, and it will still be very successful in 2023.

Summing Up The Music Marketing Commandments For 2023

These commandments will change over time, but your success will still depend on the strategic consistency of your marketing strategy!

All of it looks to be a kit for music lovers who are always looking for new sounds for their ears. Over time, it will become more interesting and intriguing to them. Additionally, an even better plan of action would be to recreate the value of real albums for a vintage reversal of traditional LPs.

Well-known musicians from all over the world can focus on their work each day as we drive traffic to their accounts thanks to the support of MPT Agency. Effective Tips To Make Your Music Known On Youtube

    By Shawn Spence
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

There are millions of videos on Youtube and more than two billion people globally. It's an extremely popular platform for promoting your music and for anything related to music marketing. Additionally, it's the best platform to share and advertise your music videos!

In this article, we will provide you with some tips on how to successfully advertise your music on Youtube.

    Let’s dive in!

Utilize Youtube Ads To Improve Your Presence

Since commercials are so common on YouTube, this is the most apparent approach to promoting music there.

    • YouTube ads are very customizable and can be displayed in a variety of locations.
    • Direct links to your YouTube channel from ads that show up on the YouTube home page.
    • Utilize a keyword tool to assist you since ads linked to particular keywords will show up when someone searches on YouTube.
    • Ads can be broadcasted before, during, and/or after a video.
    • Ads are only displayed on mobile devices.

Feel free to test out several YouTube ad styles and monitor their results to see which one is most effective for marketing your music. You should always target your YouTube ads. Utilizing the tools provided by Google to assist users to acquire adverts will allow you to simply tame this instrument.

    Get Your Youtube Channel Verified

Verification is a goal for several platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and/or Instagram, but Youtube is the one where it has the biggest influence.

Verifying your Youtube channel frequently increases visibility and offers you special advantages:

    • Enables you to get thorough statistics
    • Increase your channel's SEO
    • Enables you to immediately market your merch and tours below your YouTube videos.

You must have at least three YouTube videos under your belt before you can ask to get your channel verified. After that, you can submit your request to the YouTube support personnel.

Create Content That Illustrates Your Music

You can anticipate discovering videos that accompany an artist's songs on their Youtube account. These videos provide you the chance to visualize your world and demonstrate your commitment to your artistic endeavor.

You should upload at least one video to your channel because videos are supreme on YouTube. Particularly on YouTube, which continues to be a platform for music and entertainment, images and music are linked. Additionally, submitting a clip makes it the perfect video for Youtube Ads promotion.

    Offer A Variety Of Content

Although there are many other ways to market your music on Youtube, as an artist, your Youtube channel is primarily used to upload and promote your new songs and music videos. The success of vlogs on the platform reflects the fact that users like to learn more about the lives of producers and artists.

If you have the time and want, you may absolutely provide various video types on YouTube, such as vlogs, behind-the-scenes films, and videos about your musical influences. By doing so, you'll be able to create a true online community for your musical endeavor. All of the extra content you provide helps to convey the story, which is crucial for boosting the popularity of your music and retaining listeners.

You can also develop curated playlists that your followers can access. You can create a playlist with songs you like by yourself or other artists. This is an excellent approach for your fan base to learn more about you and enjoy your music. Any independent musician using this as a promotional tool will increase their listenership and subscriber base.

Create A Connection With Your Audience

Increase your YouTube subscriber count and promote your music online by listening to subscribers and developing relationships with them. To start a conversation, we suggest that you "like" or "comment" on particular posts.

You can simply manage your profile, create playlists, and respond to comments on the go with the Youtube Studio app!

Check Out These Fascinating Holiday Music Merchandise Marketing Tips

      By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

There is no one size fits all strategy for merchandise marketing. Maximizing conversions requires patience, experimentation, and flexibility. The truth about merchandise marketing is that you are selling hype rather than necessities, and a variety of micro and macro elements influence a person's decision to buy a certain thing.

Because of this, what works for one artist could not work for another. Therefore, we advise starting with the basics. This entails establishing your campaign in the most efficient way possible and then offering your marketing some time to adjust.

There are four straightforward, fundamental factors to take into account:

      Choose The Right Platform

Ever since the iOS14 update's effects on tracking capabilities two years ago, the amount of data provided has definably decreased. In comparison to all other e-commerce marketing channels, the Google Search placement has consistently demonstrated higher conversion rates.

Although there is no one-size-fits-all strategy, we advise always including Google Search to see whether your viewers are generating there. The efficacy of this arrangement is greatest when an artist has a buzz and significant activity influenced by major events. An artist can, for instance:

      • Announcing a new album
      • Announce a new tour
      • Make an appearance on television
      • Have a viral moment

Next, after Google Search, pick the social media platform with the most active viewership. Typically, this is still on Meta since, despite the iOS change, campaigns can be followed there rather effectively. There are benefits to avoiding stretching your budget too thin, even though we advise marketing music merchandise on at least one social media network.

      Optimization Of Creative Assets

Particularly on Meta, there is a sweet spot between having too few and too many creatives. Our advice is to start testing no less than two and no more than three different types of content on your social platform. In this method, each creative receives enough funding from each crowd to provide statistically relevant results, but there are still a few choices for optimization.

All artistic forms should have one essential component—the "pop" factor. Have your idea and brand stand out.

      Optimization Of  Audience

Expanding your audience will be the campaign's primary force. Because purchasing music merchandise is a high-intent action, you need to be extremely deliberate about the audiences you place these ads in front of and maintain your efficiency in this way.

One rule to keep in mind is to focus on redirecting audiences when marketing for high-intent actions like music merchandise sales. This entails giving people who have already shown an interest in the artist priority. This is because they are the readiest to pull out their credit cards and make a purchase.

      Adaptability & Patience

Extending the campaign length is the greatest method to make merchandise marketing effective and predictable since campaign runtime extension enables data-driven optimizations.

Based on the results, the budget can be divided across platforms, audiences, and creatives. Modern marketing allows you to monitor what audiences are responding to and capitalize on it, but only if you have the chance and time to make adjustments.

      Key Takeaway

This Christmas season, if you're trying to promote music merchandise, put yourself in the best possible position by picking the most efficient channels, choosing a limited number of creatives, appealing to the right audiences, extending campaign lengths, and making improvements.

How To Promote Your Music During Christmas 2022?

        By John Reynolds
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

When else would be a better time to promote your music than around the holidays? The holidays are one of the ideal times to sell and optimize your marketing efforts, so if you aren't planning for them now, you'd be missing a huge chance. It's time to cheer up and read some pointers for musicians on music promotion.

Why relax and sit back when you could be coming up with fantastic items to offer and smarter ways to advertise yourself at a time of year when people are more likely to offer, have fun, and purchase things?

Get off the couch and let's start making strategic plans! Below are some things you can do throughout the holiday season:

        Release A Holiday Single

Probably the first thing that comes to mind is this, but you're too exhausted to give it any more thought. However, if you have the skill to do a really fantastic version of a traditional Christmas song or even to create your own, this is a superb investment.

        Connect And Network

Never forget that in order to advance in your career, you must constantly network and establish partnerships. Who knows, maybe at one of these Christmas gatherings you'll meet someone who changes your life. Additionally, having a community is wonderful, even if the majority of people can't immediately drive you to the top,

        Holiday E-Card

Making your followers feel unique and special while being simple to do. Send an email including a unique message, an artwork, a free download, or a video.

        Thank The People

We're referring to the significant people who have helped you advance in your profession, including managers, agents, bloggers, and PR specialists. Essentially, your small family in the business.

        Christmas-Themed Merch

Keep in mind that Christmas is more than just a season for peppermint candy and gingerbread cookies. A new launch of merch is also due. You can create face masks, pins, stickers, mugs, fuzzy socks, or hoodies in addition to t-shirts. Even if you only add a tiny Christmas pun to your advertising, change up your merch to fit the holiday spirit!

        Sale! Sale! Sale!

Sales are always popular. Put products for sale if you still have band merch lying around from the touring days that you'd like to sell. You can always create more merch to coincide with your next album or release after you've cleared them out.

        Discount Codes

Customers are frequently given discount codes as a perk to encourage them to make additional purchases. A good strategy to draw customers and entice music listeners to become repeat buyers is to temporarily lower the price of your music or merch.

        Social Media Marketing

Your followers on social media are numerous. They feel at ease there, and it's a simple method to connect with a larger audience who might not be as familiar with your music yet.

        Speaking about social media…

Add The Holiday Spice To Your Social Media Profiles

Throw some holiday happiness on your social media sites. Make your social media accounts a cheerful place to visit by updating your profiles and banner with holiday-themed photos.

        Don’t Forget To… Perform!

During the holidays, a lot of communities host public events. Contact the office of the city council in your area right once to inquire about performance possibilities. You could benefit locally from the visibility on their event flyers, newsletters, website, and social media platforms, and it will strengthen your electronic press kit moving into 2023.

        Final Thoughts

Finally, the Christmas season is a fantastic time to write and distribute music that uplifts listeners. Whether you go with a well-known favorite or decide to try your hand at creating Christmas music, if you do it well, you can even hit the Billboard Holiday 100 charts while earning some money in the process.

These Christmas tips are just the beginning. If you want to learn more about how to elevate your musical journey, check out our blog and Instagram for more ideas on how to improve your marketing strategies and level up.

How Did Mariah Carey Create Everlasting Magic?

          By Barbara Drews
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

One very crucial step must be completed before you can hang your stockings, decorate your tree, make every Christmas cookie recipe you can find, and fill up your wish list for Santa. This step is to turn on the Christmas music and play it loudly. Without a doubt, there are a ton of timeless songs you must hear every December (or November 1 if you're one of "them"), but how would the holidays be the same without Mariah Carey and her timeless hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You"?

How Mariah Carey’s Hit Became The Holiday Gift That Keeps On Giving?

A leader in this regard. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has all the elements that have helped Mariah Carey's singles succeed for so long, including excellent orchestration and captivating lyrics.

Carey's song offers a more evolved spin on a Christmas tune, in contrast to "Rudolph" and "Frosty," which also turned out to be a highlight. Carey addressed a completely new — and very wide — crowd with a topic that everyone could relate to by forsaking child-centric Christmas symbols like Santa and Rudolph in favor of her usual musical subject, love, and romance.

5 Facts About Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”

Since its debut in 1994, the popular song whose lyrics are associated with holiday happiness has warmed everyone's hearts.

Yes, despite seeming like a modern killer hit, it is actually that old. As it happens, there is a significant amount of history and interesting trivia associated with songs that have been undisputed hits for as long as "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

There Are Many Versions Of Maria Carey's Song

Of course, there is the original song that we all know and adore, but Mariah has now released a number of variations on the seasonal smash. She recorded an "extra festive" version of the song when she released her second Christmas album. Of course, there is also the duet she sang with Justin Bieber. They're all excellent. But the original is incomparable.

It’s The First And Only Holiday Single To Be Certifed “Diamond”

The song has achieved a diamond record, which means that more than 10 million copies have been sold. Holiday gatherings and shopping centers are undoubtedly to thank.

Mariah Carey Cowrote The Entire Thing In About 15 Minutes

She collaborated on the successful holiday tune with veteran songwriter Walter Afanasieff, who claims that the song's success is a result of how quickly they created it.

In a conversation with Billboard, Afanasieff discussed the process of writing songs:

It was always the same sort of system with us. We would write the nucleus of the song, the melody primary music, and then some of the words were there as we finished writing it.

There Isn’t Any Actual Band Playing In The Song

Everything was planned on Afanasieff's computer. Mariah and her backup singers were the only actual participants.

The Song Inspired An Animated Movie Starring Mariah Carey Herself

“All I Want for Christmas Is You,” an animated direct-to-video release from 2017, is the perfect choice if you're seeking another holiday film to enjoy this year while curled up in a blanket with some hot cocoa in your hand. Mariah plays a young girl with a sweet Christmas wish for a puppy in the film.

The Best Way To Grow Your Spotify Via Facebook Ads

              By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Many people who have never used Facebook ads shudder at the thought because they believe it to be an outdated platform for boomers. However, you can grow your Spotify via Facebook Ads! How? Well, Facebook has more than 2 billion monthly users, and utilizing Facebook ads means running ads on:

              • Facebook
              • Instagram
              • Even Messenger!

Thus, Ads will appear on Facebook:

              • News articles
              • Marketplace items
              • Feeds
              • Stories
              • Websites
              • Applications

              Do’s & Don’ts

This sort of campaign's fundamental premise is that you can use a conversion target that utilizes the advantage of the Facebook Pixel

              Do’s:

              Use conversions to:

              • Exclude bots
                • Create retargeting audiences
              • Utilize a Facebook Business Manager account and a verified domain to track the conversions.

              Don’ts:

              • Do not launch a traffic campaign and direct people to Spotify.

Evidently, due to the lack of tracking, you can wind up with a lot of pointless bot clicks that result in no Spotify streams.

As a result, this will allow you to run ads for other objectives to those who converted in the past. Consequently, we require a website on which we can set up our pixel code and launch "events" whenever a user clicks the Spotify button on the landing page.

Deep Dive Into Campaign Structures And Ads

What Is A Facebook Campaign? How Can You Use A Facebook Campaign To Grow Your Spotify Via Facebook Ads?

A Facebook campaign has three levels:

              • The campaign → Establish your campaign's goal, start, and finish dates.
              • The ad set →  Specify your target audience, market interest, and origin of your audience.
              • The ad →  Select which Facebook and Instagram page the ad appears on.

Myth: Facebook Ads do Not Provide A Return On Investment For Spotify

The truth is that a typical return on investment will not ever be as high as $3 in Spotify royalties for every $1 spent on Facebook ads.

Undeniably, you can observe a rise in your:

              • Following, a new fanbase
              • Trustworthiness due to successful releases
              • The number of data sources for future marketing campaigns

Certainly, the majority of independent musicians will make a modest living by:

              • Gradually expanding their back catalog of songs
              • Increasing the number of streams they receive through algorithmic or editorial playlists

Why Are Facebook Ads So Great? The Reason To Grow Your Spotify Via Facebook Ads.

              Facebook offers:

              • Comprehensive targeting choices
              • Flexible budgeting
              • An algorithm that can be self-optimized to get the best results at the lowest cost

Let us examine the advantages of Facebook advertisements in further detail:

              1. In-depth targeting choices are available
              2. Basic demographic choices are available for a very broad range of interests, including brands, genres, performers, goods, and more
              3. The ads can be "scaled," and you can manage your spending; the more you spend, the better the results you receive, but you can still spend as little as $1 per day.
              4. With Facebook's learning algorithm, you can receive the most results for the least amount of money.
              5. People that interact with you can be added to "Custom Audiences" so that you can display your ads later on for less money than it cost to first reach them.
              6. There are also "Lookalike Audiences" which are “Custom Audiences” that contain 1+ million or more people that are similar to your fans.

              Thus, you are able to…

Apply The Following Strategies To Grow Your Spotify Via Facebook Ads

              • Direct listeners who are specifically interested in your Spotify profile
              • Utilize Facebook's tools and algorithm to get more of those fans at a lower cost
              • Boost your chances of fooling the Spotify algorithm into giving you free access to even more of your followers

Strategies To Grow Your Spotify Via Facebook Ads

Every time you put out a new song, you have the opportunity to:

              • Pitch it to the Spotify editors
              • Have it added to the Release Radar playlist of your listeners
              • Have it included in the Release Radar playlist of Spotify users who have similar listening habits to yours

Release one song each month, this way you will increase the:

              • Amount of pitches you obtain
              • Length of time your song is on Release Radar
              • Monthly growth of your stream and followers

              Final Thoughts

Do not anticipate a return on your initial investment from your first campaign. However, fans who follow your profile will be informed of any upcoming releases, which might expand your fan base and increase the number of plays you receive.

Keep in mind that it is not a race, it is a marathon!

For further information, keep an eye on our blog and Instagram to make the procedure as simple as possible.

AI Music Generators: Threat To The Music Industry

                By Barbara Drews
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

AI music generators that can instantly produce brand-new music songs are beginning to threaten the livelihoods of musicians. As a result, lobbyist groups appear to be competing for a dominant role in the content generation sector, which has them quite worried.

                View this post on Instagram

A post shared by UnitedMasters (@unitedmasters)

Music-generating app Mubert AI which can convert limited text inputs into a plausible-sounding composition:

"We've made it easier than ever for content creators of all kinds to license custom, high-quality, royalty-free music. From streamers to filmmakers to app builders."

Naturally, computer-generated music has been around for a while, using different types of AI to produce outcomes that may sound both manmade and alien.

However, this new breed of music generators, pioneered by Mubert AI and Google's Audio LM, feels like a whole other animal. They are more like creative replacements for musicians themselves than they are like creative integrations for the music-making process, negating the need to pay for expensive royalties or labor-intensive labor completely.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is concerned that AI-driven music generators may endanger both the financial security and legal rights of human musicians. The RIAA released a statement approving the usage of AI music generators in response to a request for feedback from the Office of the US Trade Representative.

Online services that use Artificial Intelligent to "extract, or rather, copy, the vocals, instrumentals, or some portion of the instrumentals (a music stem) from a sound recording" to "generate, master or remix a recording to be very similar to or almost as good as reference tracks by select, well-known sound recording artists" are infringing on its members' "rights by making unauthorized copies of our member's works," the RIAA stated in a new statement to the Office of the US Trade Representative.

The RIAA included a variety of services, from those that master songs in the manner of well-known musicians to those that isolate voices from backing recordings. The remark may indicate that AI music generators are the trade organization's next target because it has a lengthy history of litigating copyright infringement and combating music piracy, as Vice notes.

There isn't much legal precedence, therefore it's unclear if these AI-generated tunes genuinely violate the rights of musicians. It's an intriguing look into the near future that raises many concerns, such as whether these technologies are just democratizing access to potent art production tools or whether they are actually stealing from the original artists who served as their inspiration.

The production of synthetic content makes it simpler for many artists to keep up in this content-driven environment. But it's always worth considering what, if anything, is lost when we transition to a new, AI-driven world.

What Are The Social Media Predictions For 2023?

                  By John Reynolds
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

Predicting what could happen next is challenging, but we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social media platforms. Without a doubt, TikTok and Meta both maintained their slow declines. On the other hand, Twitter is now going through a management change that can result in anything. So what can we anticipate for the social media predictions of 2023?

With everything going on, predicting what could happen next is challenging. But, we will try with our 2023 forecasts for each of the big social applications.

Although no one can predict the future with certainty, we are more tuned in than others to the most recent improvements. And while you will not find any brain-reading predictions of the far future in this article, you will find some realistic and likely prospective developments that might affect you over the course of the following year.

                  So let us get started!

                  Facebook

Big Blue, Zuckerberg's first social app, was once everyone's favorite social media platform. Facebook has had a difficult year. From losing popularity with young users to losing advertising revenue to Apple's ATT upgrade. Not to mention going through an identity crisis in the wake of TikTok's change.

Facebook has been the most affected platform as TikTok's short-form, the algorithm-led approach has shifted consumer patterns across the board. Nonetheless, Zuck and Co. claim that they have a strategy to turn things around.

                  Social Media Predictions For Facebook

                  More Content Suggested By AI

TikTok is the source of the AI-governed pattern. In other words, it prioritizes giving you the greatest user-generated content.

Zuckerberg clarified this point in a recent interview with The Verge, stating:

“What’s basically going to happen is that, over the next year or two, we’ll start showing more recommended content in the Feed. And we’ll know that we’re doing a good job because the content, in the beginning, is going to displace some other content, and either displacing that content is going to lead to negative feedback from people, and lead to people connecting with each other less in all the metrics that we focus on, or it will actually lead to people connecting more and being more satisfied with the product.”

                  Avatar Integration

By incorporating its digital avatars into additional locations inside the app, Meta hopes to increase interest in the metaverse. This way, avatars will be crucial components of engagement.

                  Instagram

Instagram is anxious to stay ahead of TikTok and is mimicking it at every opportunity. This strategy appears to have been successful so far since the app announced that it has 2 billion monthly active users.

What is expected to happen next on Instagram is as follows…

                  Social Media Predictions For Instagram

Instagram serves as a vital link between the physical world and the metaverse. Hence, the company is eager to develop stronger systems for artists.

In light of this, anticipate the addition of the following content production methods on Instagram in 2023:

                  • Augmented reality (AR) posts
                  • 3D content
                  • NFT art
                  • Interactive ads

                  Twitter

Twitter is the most difficult scenario to foresee since, under incoming Chief Elon Musk, who knows what will happen next? Nothing from Twitter's past truly establishes any patterns, therefore anything is conceivable.

These predictions might thus be totally incorrect, but based on what Musk has so far demonstrated…

                  Social Media Predictions For Instagram

Musk has consistently stated that he wants to increase Twitter's revenue through subscriptions while also adding a layer to get rid of bots. This, unfortunately, is a crucial component of his strategy.

                  • Many businesses would probably pay for this service if Musk's new team took tips from these tools.
                  • The tools will be incorporated into an upgraded Twitter Analytics offering.
                  • The tools will be offered as a service along with access to its current range of Professional Profile display settings.

                  LinkedIn

Throughout the year, LinkedIn continues to report "record levels" of interaction. Now, they appear to include an increasing number of non-professional postings and updates.

                  Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn

In any case, LinkedIn is eager to continue expanding, so in 2023 you can anticipate the site offering additional information to assist job seekers.

In 2023, expect LinkedIn to continue with additional guidelines on how to land your dream career and links to LinkedIn Learning where you may acquire the precise skills you need to increase your chances of landing listed opportunities.

                  TikTok

The most popular app right now is also, perhaps, the most controversial one. This is not so much because of the material it amplifies as it is because of its assumed or actual ties to the Chinese Government, which keeps the app under intense political inspection.

                  Social Media Predictions For LinkedIn

This might recur in 2023, forcing TikTok to more clearly isolate its data, which could result in a number of issues for the app. Could it really be prohibited in the United States and other countries? That continues to appear like a very likely scenario…

There is a lot happening as usual, and the Elon Musk/Twitter situation really shakes things up and adds a new dimension of unpredictability to the area.

Although the metaverse and VR interfaces can represent the future, they are more likely to appear within the next year, with the most significant changes still brewing as technology develops.

Are Apple Music’s Subscription Fees Rising For Good?

                    By John Reynolds
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

The recent price rise for Apple Music's subscription and a foreseeable price increase for Spotify would enhance music sales in the United States and throughout the world and have an influence on library values.

Increased rates for Apple Music and Spotify's individual plans can result in hundreds of millions of dollars more in subscription income each year in the United States.

                    What Is The Expected Revenue?

The expected incremental earnings from these pricing hikes for streaming services is around $650 million per year. That is predicated on a 7% increase in subscriber growth in 2023, no further churn, a whole year of price increases, and higher costs including both self-paid and promotional subscription plans.

                    Will Every Aspect Be Affected?

A tiny amount of churning is anticipated, though, and Spotify is not expected to increase its prices at the start of the new year. Not all subscription plans are liable to price increases, too. (For instance, Apple is not raising the cost of Apple Music Voice.) As a result, the actual impact is probably going to be less next year and during the years to come.

                    Let us Get Into Specifics

                    • Individual subscriptions for Apple Music now cost $10.99 per month instead of $9.99.
                    • The cost of the family plan went up $2 from $14.99 to $16.99.
                    • The price of Apple One, a package that includes services like Apple Music, Apple TV+
                    • Others increased by $2 for the solo plan and by $3 for the family (which includes Apple Arcade and iCloud+) and premier plans (which adds Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+).

How Will Apple Music’s Subscription Affect Spotify?

                    • In the United States, Spotify could follow with a $1 per individual membership price rise.
                    • It is prohibited from raising the cost of the family plan by more than the $1 it added in April, to $15.99.
                    • Student rates on Spotify are available for $4.99 per month.
                    • Billboard anticipates that the reduced plans will remain unchanged for these intents.

How Will Apple Music’s Subscription Affect Musicians?

A price rise essentially results in a pay hike for creators and copyright owners. The same portion of streaming services' earnings would go to labels and publishers as royalties.

Although some churn is likely, higher costs wouldn't affect listeners' habits, thus the arithmetic would be in favor of musicians and rights holders: a bigger royalty pool would be split by the same number of streams to determine the per-stream fee owing to each track.

Songs and recordings would also be worth more if the two biggest subscription services in the US charged higher charges.

                    • A catalog's current royalty income will rise with increased prices
                    • Streaming growth has a positive correlation with greater catalog values.

According to a recent study by Professor Larry Miller of New York University, streaming accounted for 62% of the typical multiple paid-for composition portfolios in 2021, Billboard reported this week.

While Spotify's CEO Daniel Ek claimed the firm will likely follow Apple Music's path when chatting to investors on Spotify's Oct. 25 earnings call, the company has not yet announced a general price rise on its individual and family plan subscriptions.

Ek told investors that raising the price in the United States is "one of the things we would like to do" and that Spotify will speak with labels "in light of these recent events with our label partners."

Expect prices to rise as a matter of course. In May, Amazon Music Unlimited increased its pricing. In its biggest market, France, Deezer increased subscription rates in January. Rate increases are also scheduled for December in Germany and the United States. According to Deezer CEO Jeronimo Folgueira, the price hike by Apple Music "opens the door for further price increases down the line."

                    Final Thoughts

Numerous factors will influence just how much additional funds these price increases will bring in. In any scenario, musicians and owners of the associated rights can anticipate higher subscription payments through 2023.

How To Utilize Spotify Wrapped 2022 As A Musician?

                      By Yvonne Martin
Share on Twitter Pin it Pin it

The time has come! Spotify Wrapped will now let you see a "snapshot" of your entire year! We all eagerly await the announcement of the music we've been listening to during the previous year.

As Spotify Wrapped summarizes your musical year, it shares your favorite musicians, tracks, genres, artists to explore, and even your moods.

Thousands of people share their "Wrapped" every year in what started as a viral marketing campaign in 2016 and has since grown into a significant event for music lovers and social media users.

When Will Spotify Wrapped 2022 Be Released?

Launching a website promoting the feature and making a data-sharing hint:

“Wrapped is a deep dive into the music and podcasts that defined your 2022. Keep listening to what you love, and we’ll shout when it’s ready.”

Spotify discontinued the function in recent years at the beginning of December; in 2021 it was done so on December 1 and 2020 on December 2. Consequently, it won't be long before you may hear how your music is summarized in 2022.

How To Access Spotify Wrapped 2022

Your Spotify Wrapped 2022 can be accessed here. Additionally, it will be shown on your homepage, and you'll probably get a notification when it's prepared for viewing.

Why The Last Two Months Of The Year Are Not Included In Spotify Wrapped 2022 Results?

The last two months of the year are not tracked for Wrapped, as Spotify previously said on Twitter, saying:

“We’re afraid that listening to a bunch of stuff right now will not make any difference to this year’s or next year’s Spotify Wrapped. This is because it only covers from January 1 to October 31. Hope this clears things up.”

Although they have not yet provided a concrete explanation, many believe it is because it is the holiday season and people begin to play Christmas music nonstop as soon as Halloween is over.

Others believe it is simply because the company wants to give themselves enough time to get the app and your results ready for the end of the year.

A Complete Checklist Of Actions You Should Take Now

With Spotify Wrapped 2022, hundreds of millions of listeners from all over the world get together to discuss the songs that helped shape their year. Spotify is bringing Wrapped the biggest one yet in 2022 and giving fans new ways to interact with the musicians they most frequently listened to.

Elon Musk Delays Twitter Paid Verification

                        By Shawn Spence

Elon Musk's intention to sell Twitter's blue tick paid verification badges has been postponed. As a result, delaying the microblogging platform's swift descent into hell slightly.

You guessed it right. Musk is also blocking unnamed parody accounts, though…

According to The New York Times, Twitter's paid verification will now go live on Nov. 9, which is the day following the U.S. midterm elections. Prior to Nov. 7, when the update was supposed to go live. Nonetheless, Musk reportedly threatened to dismiss staff members who didn't reach the deadline.

The decision to postpone the implementation of paid verification was made as a result of staff and user concerns. They were worried about the possible disastrous effects Musk's plan will have on election integrity.

Anyone with the capacity to pay verification status would be able to get a blue tick and use it to pose as a well-known individual. Moreover, this will enable them to send tweets that seem to come from news organizations or politicians.

This also has the potential to destabilize the election and spread false information about the outcomes.

When Musk's reforms actually go live, there's a decent chance that Twitter will turn into a hazardous hub of misinformation.

Some verified Twitter users have criticized Musk's verification modifications by exposing how the blue tick on Twitter will be misused and how simple it is to deceive people.

Artist Mark Brooks published tweets from users who thought he was the renowned actor after briefly changing his account name and profile photo to resemble Harrison Ford.

Twitter has suspended verified accounts belonging to comedian Kathy Griffin, actor Rich Sommer, and former NFL player Chris Kluwe. Users have also been banned for changing their display names and profile pictures to correspond with those of Tesla's real-life co-founder Elon Musk.

Musk stated in a tweet on Sunday that unless an account is blatantly labeled as a parody, Twitter will permanently suspend any accounts that mimic others. It's not clear if a disclaimer on the account's profile would do, or if this label must be in the account's name.

Due to the possibility that true identity verification will no longer be required in order to receive one of Twitter's blue ticks, it is also probable that Twitter will have difficulty telling the difference between a parody account and the real thing.

This is risky whether you have a large profile or not because anyone with $8 and a grudge will possibly destroy your entire existence.

Prior to Musk's takeover, Twitter wasn't always a haven of virtue. But the amount it has dropped in less than a week is astonishing.
