Vanilla Ice Defends Controversial Jokes Made In Adam Sandler Film

Vanilla Ice says he’s “part Choctaw Indian,” adds that he’s able to “see both sides” in regards to jokes made in “The Ridiculous Six.”

Vanilla Ice has come to the defense of actor/comedian Adam Sandler after the film he helped write, The Ridiculous Six, came under fire after parts of the script were deemed offensive by a group of Native Americans on the set of the film.

According to XXLMag.com, Vanilla Ice spoke with TMZ to share his thoughts on the film, which he also stars in. The former rapper, who stated that he’s “part Choctaw Indian,” explained that the jokes were all for fun.

“It’s a comedy,” Vanilla Ice said. “I don’t think anybody really had any ill feeling or any intent or anything. This movie isn’t [Dances] With Wolves — it’s a comedy. They’re not there to showcase anything about anybody — they’re just making a funny movie…I am part Choctaw Indian, so I see both sides.”

The film reportedly includes characters with names like Beaver Breath and Sits-on-Face. Additionally, at one point in the film a male character is said to have stated the following to a female character: ”How about after this, we go someplace, and I put my peepee in your teepee?”

Vanilla Ice reportedly plays the role of Mark Twain in The Ridiculous Six, which will premiere on Netflix next year. Other entertainers slated to appear in the film include Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, and David Spade.
